My First Solo Hike

July 17th, 2024

When visiting my sister, she recommended this trailhead around her house. I walked the trail for about 2 hours before stopping at the top to look over at the view. I only saw a few people during my trip, so I was truly enjoying the alone time.

When at the top, I saw two hawks swarming around the mountain and a beautiful view of the other mountains surrounding me. I drew a pen and ink picture of the view from my perspective after praying to God to express my gratitude. As I began my way back down I took notice to the many daddy long legs that wandered on the rocks and the other insects that swarmed the area. I enjoy being a witness to all kinds of life.
